Who we are
Germán Sarmiento
Germán was born in Lima, and from a very young age, he developed a deep interest in Peru’s multicultural richness, which led him to become involved in the travel industry. Before founding Pacha, Germán worked with prominent tour operators in Peru and Spain, designing new experiences primarily focused on trekking and community-based tourism. Additionally, he has actively participated in promoting Peru, co-producing documentaries with renowned international media outlets such as National Geographic, Travel and Leisure, Fox, among others.
“Traveling is about expanding mental horizons. It allows you to understand humanity as part of a whole and learn more through contact with nature and other cultures.”
Our team
Fidel Robles
Fidel has been connected to nature since birth. His family originates from the Matsigenka native community, located in the Amazon region between Cusco and Madre de Dios. Over time, his experience and passion for the jungle led him to develop extensive knowledge about the flora and fauna inhabiting the surroundings of the Manu National Reserve.
Fidel and his siblings have built a Lodge-to-Lodge route within the National Park, specializing in birdwatching and the identification of other native animals.
“The Manu is my home, and my wish is to share all my experience and knowledge with people who share the same love for nature.”
Johann Muñoz
There is almost no mountain in Cusco that Johann hasn’t explored. As a local, he feels very happy and at ease in the heights of Salkantay or Ausangate. Additionally, Johann has a deep respect for Pachamama and is highly skilled in managing community relations.
“The mountains and Andean culture are interconnected through the communities. It is my duty to ensure that travelers have authentic experiences, sharing with locals in a responsible and respectful way.”
Jimy Murillo
Jimy is a guide known for his empathy and excellent interpersonal skills. This quality has led him to discover little-explored places. Without a doubt, he is a true connoisseur of Cusco from end to end and a lover of the mountains.
“In Cusco, you learn something new every day. There’s always a new place to discover. I am passionate about its diversity.”
