About the Tour

During the ride, you’ll gain a real and direct perspective of daily life in the high Andean communities, as well as observe the various agricultural activities in the area. Potato and corn crops dominate the landscape, giving the fields a vibrant array of flower colors.

Along the route, we’ll arrive at the archaeological site of Moray, where you can admire unique Inca agricultural architecture designed for research and experimentation with different plant varieties.

After a walking tour of Moray, we’ll continue cycling to the Maras Salt Mines, where we’ll explore the salt extraction pools on foot. This is where the tour and activity conclude.

Itinerary

Chinchero – Picnic at Lake Huaypo – Moray – Maras

The driver will pick you up at your hotel in Cusco at 8:00 am, along with the guide who will accompany you throughout the tour.

We’ll start the day cycling from the town of Chinchero, traveling along different paths through agricultural fields that will take us to Lake Huaypo, where a picnic awaits us by the lakeside. After lunch and enjoying some rest, as well as the tranquility and biodiversity of the lake, we’ll prepare to continue cycling toward the archaeological site of Moray.

After the walking tour of Moray, we’ll continue by bike toward the Maras Salt Mines.
