About the Tour
Along the route, we’ll arrive at the archaeological site of Moray, where you can admire unique Inca agricultural architecture designed for research and experimentation with different plant varieties.
After a walking tour of Moray, we’ll continue cycling to the Maras Salt Mines, where we’ll explore the salt extraction pools on foot. This is where the tour and activity conclude.
Itinerary
Chinchero – Picnic at Lake Huaypo – Moray – Maras
We’ll start the day cycling from the town of Chinchero, traveling along different paths through agricultural fields that will take us to Lake Huaypo, where a picnic awaits us by the lakeside. After lunch and enjoying some rest, as well as the tranquility and biodiversity of the lake, we’ll prepare to continue cycling toward the archaeological site of Moray.
After the walking tour of Moray, we’ll continue by bike toward the Maras Salt Mines.

- First route: Chinchero – Lake Huaypo

- Third route: Moray – Maras Salt Mines
- Distance: 5.8 km
- Communal non-vehicle dirt path with asphalt crossing through Maras town
The tour includes:
- Private ground transportation (Hyundai H1 van) for departure and return to Cusco.
