& Sacsayhuaman guided visit

About the Tour

This alternative program offers you the chance to discover a more cultural and contemporary side of Cusco. We will take a walking tour through hidden streets and corners in the neighborhoods of San Cristobal and San Blas. After lunch, we will end the day visiting the spectacular archaeological site of Sacsayhuamán.

Itinerary

Plaza de Armas

We will start at the Plaza de Armas, where our guide will share important historical insights connecting the past and present of the city from an anthropological perspective. We will visit the Church of La Compañía, located on one side of the Plaza.

San Cristobal

It’s time to start our short hike to the San Cristobal viewpoint. This classic Cusco neighborhood is known for its steep streets, typical architecture, and local characters who are part of the city’s popular folklore. One such person is Segundo León, a wood artisan, who will show us his workshop while sharing more about how he started this craft and why it’s important to keep it alive.

San Blas

We will continue the tour walking along Siete Borreguitos Street until we connect with Tandapata, the street that leads us into the neighboring district of San Blas. This neighborhood is known for its cafés and workshops of local artisans. Our first stop will be at L’Atelier, where those who wish can enjoy a coffee while we talk about contemporary art in Cusco.

After recharging, we’ll be ready to keep walking toward San Blas Plaza, where we will visit a spot featuring popular Cusco art and artworks by natives from the Peruvian Amazon. After that, we’ll take a stroll through the San Blas market.

Cuesta de San Blas / Calle El Triunfo

We will descend along Cuesta de San Blas Street to appreciate some Inca architectural legacies, passing by the famous 12-Angled Stone until we reach El Triunfo Street, finishing at the Plaza de Armas to conclude the tour and say goodbye.

After lunch, we will pick you up from your hotel (by van) to visit the archaeological site of Sacsayhuamán.
